Solar Energy Negatives

Yes, solar energy is the latest most cost effective way to satisfy the huge energy needs of human beings. We find many useful applications of the solar energy in day-to-day life.
Certainly solar power is useful, but the main drawback or the negative of solar energy is that the appliances needed for the effective use of solar energy are really costly. So for the common man it doesn’t turn out to be the cost effective energy source.
Negatives Of Use Of Solar Energy
Cost. Even if solar power is a viable alternative to mains power, the initial capital cost may be prohibitive for many. There are some grants available; however, as yet these are not sufficient to encourage widespread investment in the technology. If we are able to reduce the cost of the solar appliances of the benefit of common man, we are certainly a step closer to energy revolution!!
Continuity of supply. Those of you who live and work here in the UK, the US may have noticed that the sun doesn’t shine for 8 hours a day every day. As the main source is the sun’s rays, if we are not getting sunlight for a long period of time it doesn’t make sense.

Fortunately the latest technology allows more of the sun’s energy to be captured even at relatively low levels. There is also the opportunity to create hybrid renewable energy systems that take advantage of the synergy between solar and wind energy.
Location is important. Correct location of solar panels is of the utmost importance and not every building can benefit from a solar array. Ideally, panels need to be facing south and shouldn’t be subject to any shading. Due to the over crowding of the buildings, this becomes the major negative aspects of the use of solar energy.

Though this problem won’t be a problem in rural areas where the location would not be a problem as there would be hardly any crowding of shadowing.
The view of the common man and government institutions. Yes until we see the current potential of solar energy as a savior from the problems that would arise due to insufficient energy resources.
Though there are such negatives of the use of solar energy we certainly need to put some efforts in improving the technology for harnessing solar energy to maximum.
